Equinox EV - Launch Edition
by Steve on 7/3/2025 7:02:40 PM
I have owned this vehicle for 6 months, 12,000 miles. Very pleased. This is my 3rd EV and this vehicle is far better than the Cadillac Lyric and Tesla Model Y. Better value, fit and finish, performance, and most importantly, it looks fantastic. The range is perfect for daily and long travel. - 5.0
A great way to save money
by Stuart on 4/1/2025 7:16:53 PM
Had this car for about nine months and 10,000 miles. It is fun to drive and is saving us about $2,500 per year over a gas equivalent. Lower maintenance and insurance cost, but the big saver is no gas. We installed a Level 2 charger at home and can easily charge overnight for a few cents per Kilo Watt Hour. In fact if gas was free we would still be saving money! We use the car primarily for local trips so no issue with range, for longer trips there are plenty of DC fast chargers and the Telsa supercharger network is now available with a GM adaptor. Many hotels offer free level 2 charging so more savings there. I have seen some complaints about the lack of car play - However I find the Google based software easy to use with excellent voice recognition capabilities. The large display is also a nice feature and much more integrated than Tesla or Ford where the screen looks like it was stuck on the dashboard as an after thought. One downside has been the drop in range in cold weather (20-30%) which could potentially be and issue here in the northeast. Local trips are not an issue, longer trips just require a bit of advanced planning for charging stops. Overall it is a great car and I would recomment it.
